Year 5 Forest School - The Season of Spring
After our January to March lockdown, it is fantastic that Year 5 finally get their chance to escape into the Great Outdoors in time to experience the season of spring!
The mornings may still be a little bit chilly, but the sun (when it breaks through) is lovely and warm, giving life to out Forest School home. Buds are popping open on the trees, birds are chirping in the branches and life is awakening in every corner of the woodland.
Already, Year 5 are learning to craft wood, create detailed clay models, make fires with flint and steel, build dens, cook over the fire and even bash a few leaves in the name of art!
With the Year 5 Spring Forest School adventure coming to an end, it is time to ask the children what they thought about their time in the woods.
What new things did they learn or discover? How have they changed in themselves? What were the highlights? What new adventures are they looking to next time?
