YEAR 5 - FOREST SCHOOL IN THE SEASON OF AUTUMN
Year 5 Forest School - Season of Autumn 2022
After a very warm and dry summer break, Year 5 were ready to get back into the local woods for more Forest School adventures in 2022!
This year, we continued to practice and develop existing skills, such as whittling, sawing, den building, clay work and cooking, as well as learn and experience lots of new things too!
Forest swings were made, tiny mushrooms carefully whittled, mini fires kept glowing for hours, creating coloured paints for clay and faces, as well as toasting our own lunches! Add in some fun team games, amazingly complex dens and the making of bows and arrows ... and you have an idea that Forest School never had a dull moment.
Along with the practical activities came the development of team work, resilience, adaptation, co-operation and independence ... as well as a lot of smiles and laughter. Perfect!
