YEAR 6 - FOREST SCHOOL IN THE SEASON OF WINTER
Year 6 Forest School - Season of Winter 2022-23
Year 6 are no strangers to Forest School over the last few years, so were looking forward to a few final adventures before heading off to ‘Big School’ next year! They certainly made the most of their last time out in the woods!
As well as refining skills learnt previously, such as: whittling wood, modelling clay, building dens and making mini fires … Year 6 worked to try out new experiences, such as creating coloured face paints, building ropes swings, cooking their own lunches and making some amazingly complex dens to live in!
On top of the practical skills, there was some wonderful team-work and co-operation, with children developing their resilience, independence and adapting to the ever-changing environment … from the VERY wet and muddy … through to the freezing cold and ice-covered! Amazing!
