WORLD BOOK DAY - Potato Characters
World Book Day Challenge - 4th March 2021
CREATE A POTATO BOOK CHARACTER
THEN ... WRITE CLUES TO THEIR IDENTITY!
Choose a favourite character from a book that you have read… then try to create this character using a potato!
Use your design and technology skills and think about their characteristics that make them stand out. You can use any materials from home, including paint, paper and fabrics.

Please send your photos in and we will make a display in school to celebrate your work. We will also choose a selection to be included in our newsletter.
Once you have created your potato character, write a set of clues to describe them. Use the first person as if they are speaking.
I am polite and well-mannered. I am an adventurous furry animal who was born in the deepest, darkest Peru. Although I am charming and trusting, you will be treated to one of my famous hard stares if you upset me!
I have travelled a long way to explore the streets of London. All I possess is an old, battered suitcase, that has a secret compartment and an odd- looking hat with a wide brim. Feeling abandoned and all alone, I long for someone kind to give me shelter, food and a loving family.
Who am I?
Put answer underneath with the name of the character, title of the book and the author of the book.
We will be further celebrating World Book Day at a different date when we are all back in school.
