Reading Comprehension - 60 Second Comprehensions
60 Second Comprehensions
Hopefully you are getting the idea of these from Tuesday and Wednesday. This is the final day :-)
These are very short pieces of text (around 100-150 words) with accompanying questions that focus on vocabulary, retrieval, prediction, summarising and inference. There is an accompanying answer sheet ... so no peaking first!
There is a guidance sheet for parents to explain how to use the comprehension and the types of questions.
Today's TWO mini 60-Second Comprehensions are:
Ancient Egyptians: "The Rosetta Stone" - linked to our previous history topic
Extreme Weather: "The Official Safe-Tea Shelter" - linked to our autumn science topic on animals
