PRESENT TENSE

The PRESENT Tense

The Present Tense

The simple present tense indicates an action that is happening now.

For example:

The dog barks at the postman

I clean my room

I fold the washing.

He cleans the windows.

I always listen to music.

When action is happening now, verbs are often spelled with certain endings, like -ing. The present tense often also uses the verb 'to be'.

For example:

I am cleaning my teeth.

I am walking to school.

I am doing my homework.
