Grammar Task - Year 3 Grammar & Spelling Test
GRAMMAR - WEEK 11
2018 - Year 2 - Spelling & Grammar Tests
As you all had 'so much fun' with the Year 2 test last week, we thought it would be 'even MORE fun' to review the 2018 Year 3 Spelling and Grammar Test. You lucky, lucky things!
We have covered a vast majority of it at school and through home learning, though there are bound to be a few gaps. It is these gaps that give the Year 4 teachers an idea of what 'booster lessons' to give Year 3 at the start of the year.
There are 2 parts:
PART 1 - SPELLING TEST
You can either print off the booklet or simple read out the spellings and write them as a list. Like last week, there are 20 words to spell and check.
There is a 'teacher booklet' that tells you exactly how to run the test and how to mark the answers. ANSWERS START ON PAGE 30 AND END ON PAGE 31.
PART 2 - GRAMMAR and PUNCTUATION TEST
This is a booklet of 27 questions where you have to fill in the gaps, draw a line to link answers, circle the correct one or tick the boxes.
There is a teacher booklet to explain how to run the test, as well as an answer booklet to show answers and explanations. ANSWERS START ON PAGE 23 AND END ON PAGE 28.
Have a go at both tests and see how much you can remember from Year 3.
NOTE: There will be one or two questions that have not been covered this year, so please do NOT get stressed. Please 'have-a-go' though! The last question (subordinate clauses) is a Year 4 objective and we have no idea why it is in this test at all!
