Art Task - Sketch a 'Real' Flower
HOME LEARNING - SUMMER TERM WEEK 3 - ART ACTIVITY
Sketch / Draw a 'Real' Flower
Last week, you to learned how to draw a flower step-by-step. If you need a reminder or want another go at this, click on the link below.
This week, we would like you to use these skills and go outside into the warm spring sunshine and draw / sketch a 'real' flower in your garden or local area. It is all about shading and tone.
Think about the 'Chili Challenge' and find a flower that matches the challenge level you want to set yourself. Flowers to look out for at the moment might be: daisy, rose, bluebell, tulip, apple blossom, cherry blossom, dandelion etc... An alternative is to get a small bunch of flowers from the supermarket to draw inside at home.
Think carefully about lightly sketching in pencil first (to allow you to rub out mistakes) before you add any heavier shading or colour. Examples of drawings are in the slideshow below.
Once you have completed your picture, please send in your photos to add to this weeks flower art gallery.
