Art - Sketching Skills - Hand Doodles
HOME LEARNING - SPRING TERM - WEEK 5 - ART
You have all had lots of fun with 'Draw with Rob' (and please carry on with this in your spare time!), drawing some fantastic cartoon characters step-by-step, with some brilliant results in our picture galleries!
This week, a similar idea, only this time it all starts with you drawing around your hand to form the outline of your 'Hand Doodle'.
CLICK ON THE VIDEO BELOW TO SEE THE AMAZING DOODLES YOU CAN CREATE!
The YouTube video is 11 minutes long on how to draw no less that 32 hand doodles. There are no spoken instructions, just music and the video showing you what to do. You will need to press PAUSE to allow you to keep up as the video whizzes through the colouring in - like you do with the Rob videos!
As I said, there are 32 drawings to choose from, so you might want to watch the video through once and make a note of the times for your favourites! (Note - the last 2 demonstrations on the video are slightly different)
Mr T's favourites were:
3 minutes 46 seconds = Crocodile
4 minutes 57 seconds = Chicken
7 minutes 47 seconds = Shark
Challenge - Folded Paper Shark - 8 minutes 43 seconds
This is a sketch rather than drawing round your hand ... tricky, but looks brilliant!
REMEMBER TO CAREFULLY SHADE YOUR HAND DOODLES USING THE SKILLS PRACTICED WITH 'DRAW WITH ROB', ADDING TONE, TEXTURE AND MIXING COLOURED PENCILS TOGETHER FOR EFFECT.
If you enjoyed the task and want to find more ideas for Hand Doodles, there are LOTS of similar videos to choose from on YouTube.
We cannot wait to see what amazing artwork you create!
