6th July 2020
Hello super Year 6s,
We are getting that bit closer to the end of term and we know that a lot of you are thinking about secondary school and that this year, in the current situation, transition is going to be a little different. Your secondary schools have already been in touch with your parents/carers and are sharing information about what life will be like in Year 7 and they are also asking you to give them more information about you. Your Year 6 teachers have also been telling your new schools all about you so by the that time you start, your secondary schools will know you well.
To help your transition to secondary school, we will be starting a series of PSHE sessions later this week and next week. These will be based on the books You Are Awesome by Matthew Syed and Go Big by Matthew Burton, which we will be sharing with you in order to complete the tasks. Each session will take you through some big ideas to help you on your way to secondary school.
Feeling a bit nervous? This is completely understandable and everyone is feeling the same, even if they don't admit it. Watch the video by clicking on the link below:
There is a brilliant website, below, where you can choose to explore whatever is on your mind. You can guarantee that if it is on your mind, it is also on the mind of all Year 6s:
What do you think you need in abundance to be ready for secondary school? The answer is being organised. The PowerPoint below talks about ways you will need to be organised and there are also associated tasks to complete. Have a go!
Remember, if we can help in any way, then please get in contact with us.

Have a brilliant week!
